I haven’t posted anything for a while. I have been involved in some very interesting projects, working long hours and weekends. But hey, here is a storyboard I did for a “Nintendo” ad. (pretty tight schedules though)

The title says it all – I modelled the this Dragon in Maya and Zbrush and rendered it in the scene using Maya, PFTrack and Shake. Shamefully, the compression needed to upload the shot on my blog has distorted the levels slightly. The final HD shot has more subtle, better integrated and slightly tinted darker areas.
I am attaching some screenshots, textures used as bump and specular maps and rendered images of the whole process.

I have been quite busy lately modelling, texturing and composing a Vespa motorcycle in 3d.
Here are the final images.
I am posting four images to show a section of the rendering process: 1) a render without background and specular shading, 2) an occlusion render, the original background and 4) a final render with all the elements composed into the shot.

These are some of the short films I was working on a couple of months ago with the people at TRUNK (www.trunk.me.uk). It is for a new Cbeebies show called “Show me Show me”.

I did most of the animation for the elephant, the frog and the hamsters and animated some of the shots with the little cat, tiger, crocodile and the bunny.

We completed six short films (in a short space of time) using Flash and After Effects .

I was practising a bit with Maya and just finished these running and walking cycles.

I am posting here some panels of the storyboard I have been working on for a short film produced by the SST and directed by Jacob Parish.

There a lot of great scenes in this 30 min. film so I will be posting more soon.

I am attaching here a rough animated clip/test I did for for a pitch at TRUNK. I animated it in one afternoon.

The compression of the blog is ruining a bit the line, apologies for that.
